It contains kerosene and cyclohexane, so it will eat up anything that is not resistant to petroleum. You probably need nitrile gloves. Permanent or disposable ones should be available at Wal-Mart. The disposables are usually blue. Read the package and make sure they will resist solvents.

You should avoid breathing this stuff (if you can smell it, you are breathing it) or getting it on your skin. Cyclohexane is nasty stuff.

If that stuff is expensive or to reduce your exposure, you might get the good results from using
(1) kerosene or
(2) a mixture of kerosene and gasoline or
(3) a mixture of kerosene and alcohol.

If you are a business, be careful that you don’t create a hazardous waste by making a mixture with a flashpoint of 140 deg. F or less.

If one cleaning is not enough or if you want to reduce your consumption (or exposure) to the solvent, you can borrow an idea from chemical engineering. First use a relatively ineffective but inexpensive cleaner, then use progressively more effective cleaners.

You’ll have to experiment to see what works best for you, but here is one possibility. First wash with soap and water. Next wash with kerosene. Finally, wash with Tekusolv.
