how do i break down clay soil in my very wet garden?

"my garden is very wet,and through trying varying methods to rectify this problem we have found it to be full of clay and wondered how we sort this problem out..thanks in advance for the answers

Add lots of organic compost and rough dig it, leave it in large lumps over the winter, the frost will break down the lumps, then in the spring add lots of organic compost about 4 ins deep to the top of the clay, this will give you a medium in which to start growing things.
